How is the Canada Career Week Fair Promoted?

The Canada Career Week Fair is heavily promoted through a print, radio and television advertising campaign. In addition, posters, handbills and brochures are distributed to key attendee groups. Canada Career Week Fair receives over $100,000 in promotion spending.

ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN:
The Canada Career Week Fair advertising campaign consists of:

  • Edmonton Journal newspaper: seven to ten pre-fair ads run two weeks prior to the fair; one ad on each fair day, and an inclusion of a Canada Career Week Fair Supplement ($75,000 promotion spending)
  • Radio campaigns and remote ($9,000 promotional spending)
  • Other print ads spending amount from $1,200 to $5,000
  • 4,000 brochures
  • 35,000 handbills
  • 6,000 show guides
  • Information packages to over 500 Greater Edmonton Jr. and Sr. High Schools
  • Outdoor signage and website promotion
  • 510 LRT and Bus interior cards

PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS DISTRIBUTED TO THE FOLLOWING ATTENDEE TARGET MARKETS:
Promotional materials including posters, handbills and brochures are distributed to:

  • Edmonton and area high schools
  • Edmonton and area technical institutions, colleges and universities
  • Edmonton and area Boys’ & Girls’ Clubs
  • Apprenticeship and training organizations
  • Youth groups with career programming
  • Employment Insurance Offices
  • Youth Connections Offices
  • Disabled Albertan organizations and associations
  • Aboriginal organizations and associations

Exhibitor Fees, Benefits and Registration for the 2010 Canada Career Week Fair will be available by the end of May 2010.
